Mario Faubert is a Canadian airline pilot, professional photographer, professional skipper and all around adventurer. As a pilot on corporate jets and commercial airliners he found the beauty of landscapes viewed from his position so profound it prompted him to aerial photography as a career.
Captivated by this new adventure he founded Air Photo Max in 1992, the start of a highly successful career that has led him to the four corners of the Earth. He was part of the Earth From Above (Yann Arthus Bertrand from Paris) team of aerial photographers who traveled the globe in search of the most beautiful pictures of our planet. His previous experience as a gifted pilot provides him the ability to fly in all conditions to seek out and take breathtaking photographs.
He is the author of 2 books: Nunavik ( Editions du Passage) and Nunavut From Above (Editions Sylvain Harvey). He is presently working on a broader project, Collection Canada, to showcase Canada from the air. In February 2017 he joined Overflightstock to allow stock clients access to his unique collection of aerial images.
